TESOL International Convention

On March 21 – 24, along with approximately 7,000 other professionals, two members of the De La Salle Language Institute’s (DLI) instructional staff, Rebecca Vogel and Molly Lohnes, attended the Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) International Convention in Seattle, WA. The TESOL convention offered over 900 concurrent sessions dealing with the latest research in the field in addition to current best practices in both teaching/learning and institutional policy. DLI staff participated in educational sessions dealing with applied linguistics, computer assisted learning, English for specific purposes, intensive English programs within higher education, intercultural communication, program administration, as well as second language writing, speech, pronunciation, and listening.
