This semester, the De La Salle Language Institute’s students and instructors are especially fortunate to be interacting with the university’s elementary and secondary education students. Elementary education students in the Advanced Literacy for Diverse Learners course are meeting weekly with the institute’s English language learners to provide one-on-one practice and assistance with their language skills. In addition, secondary education students in the Addressing Learning Needs course are spending 20 hours observing instruction in a number of the institute’s courses. The assistance provided by these future educators is much appreciated.
